Development Consortium and Uttarakhand Government’s Department of School Education Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Quality Education and वेल्बीइंग Development Consortium (DC), a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to inclusive development, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of School Education, Uttarakhand, to collaborate and promote quality education, social-emotional learning, and wellbeing in the state’s schools. The MoU was signed on 5th June 2023 by Shri Banshidhar Tiwari, Director General of School Education, Uttarakhand, and Anamika Srivastava, Founder & CEO, Development Consortium.
Uttarakhand, known as the DevBhumi or Land of God, is committed to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4, which emphasises the importance of quality education and social-emotional learning opportunities for all by 2030. The collaboration between Development Consortium and the Department of School Education aims to align educational programs with the National Curriculum Framework and the National Education Policy 2020, ensuring inclusive and equitable education for all students.
Development Consortium, with its offices in multiple cities across India, has a decade-long track record of advocating for and implementing development initiatives that address education, health, poverty, inequality, abuse, and injustice among vulnerable communities. Under the MoU, Development Consortium will work closely with the Uttarakhand Government to strengthen institutions, enable teachers to facilitate experiential learning , and co-create digital tools and platforms for quality content accessibility. The organisation will also support the training and professional development of teachers and support the ecosystem to promote gender-sensitive teaching methods, problem-solving skills, and confidence-building among students. Additionally, DC will integrate technology into education to enhance content accessibility and eliminate language barriers.
